As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for the enchanting world of Bollywood, I must say that my perspective on the industry has been significantly shaped by my personal encounters and observations. One such instance that stands out is my brief brushes with some of the biggest stars in the business, such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji.
Two beloved Bollywood stars, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Preity Zinta, captivate countless fans with their charm and skill. While some adore their physical grace and abilities, others appreciate their gentle, modest, and carefree demeanor. However, during a recent conversation, renowned actor Rushad Rana shared an experience where he felt they seemed to look past him.
During a chat with Siddharth Kannan, actor Rushad Rana, best known for his roles in shows like Anupamaa and Kumkum Bhagya, discussed his professional experiences working alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Preity Zinta. He revealed that during the filming of Mohabbatein with Aishwarya, they didn’t exchange much conversation. According to him, she seemed to look past them. Similarly, while shooting for Veer Zaara with Preity, he experienced a similar dynamic. He acknowledged, “It’s fine; there’s not much you can do about it. You can’t exactly greet those who prefer to ignore you.
In the same interview, he also spoke about the impact Rani Mukerji had on him during their time together on the TV show Kehta Hai Dil. He expressed delight at discovering that Rani herself acknowledged being a fan of his work, as she mentioned her mother admires his acting in it. It’s worth noting that Rana shared screen time with Rani in SRK’s film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, which was directed by Aditya Chopra.
In addition to his role in Sanam Teri Kasam, Rushad Rana shared that he was also starring in a well-known series titled Kehta Hai Dil at the time, which happened to be a favorite of Rani and her mother. He recollected, “She complimented me, ‘I’m impressed by you, TV actors. How do you keep delivering lines after lines?’ That conversation has stayed with me, and throughout filming, she was incredibly kind.” Rushad Rana has collaborated with numerous celebrities in films such as Sarkar, Dor, The Xposé, Calendar Girls, among others. Most recently, he played the part of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahzad Alam in Sudhanshu Saria’s espionage thriller Ulajh. This film features Janhvi Kapoor, Roshan Mathew, Gulshan Devaiah, and Adil Hussain in significant roles.
