Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or Aditi Rao Hydari, who slayed the saree and sindoor look at Cannes?
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
At the annual Cannes Film Festival, the globally recognized actress, Aishwarya Rai, left everyone in awe once more with her elegant ensemble. She adorned a traditional Indian saree crafted from ivory-colored Kadwa handloom fabric, showcasing intricate brocade patterns and delicate silver thread embroidery known as zari work.
She gracefully adorned the saree in a conventional fashion, with the end (pallu) delicately perched on one shoulder while the other half cascaded over her arms.
The extraordinary quality of her outfit stood out particularly because it featured a delicate white sheer shawl slung across the other shoulder, intricately embellished with traditional zardozi embroidery using real gold and silver thread.
Aishwarya arranged her long hair in the middle, sporting a central part, and accentuated her appearance by applying sindoor, thereby elegantly incorporating a traditional feel into her style.
Aditi Rao Hydari
At Cannes, Aditi Rao Hydari left an indelible mark with her appearance. She graced the event in a breathtaking red saree, which accentuated her Indian roots magnificently. Adorned as if she were a radiant bride, her presence exuded a captivating mix of grace and boldness that embodied traditional Indian allure.
Her saree had a delicate, breezy quality, accentuated by narrow blue trim that provided a stylish contrast. The pallu and bottom edge showcased wide, glittering gold bands, lending an air of sophistication with their textured appearance.
In a harmonious match, the Heeramandi star selected a sleeveless blouse for the saree, featuring a tube-top shape, a softly curved sweetheart neckline, and dainty shoulder straps. This ensemble gracefully accentuated the saree’s feminine grace.
The most striking aspect was her application of sindoor – both in her hairline and as a bindi – which not only reflected an adored Indian custom but also complemented her genuine, culturally significant appearance.
