Anubhav Singh and Ajay Devgn teamed up for the 2007 movie “Cash,” but they haven’t worked together since then. There were rumors about a disagreement over a song in the film, which the director has now refuted. However, the director acknowledged that he hasn’t been in contact with Ajay Devgn for the past 18 years following their last project together.
Recently, during a chat with The Lallantop, I was asked about the rumored spat between myself and Ajay Devgn. To that, I simply stated, “No fight exists…he doesn’t engage in conversations with me.” As an ardent fan, it’s intriguing to hear directly from the director about such matters!
Sinha added that he’s puzzled as to why Ajay Devgn, the actor from Singham Again, doesn’t seem to engage with him. He also pointed out that there’s never been an instance of Devgn intentionally avoiding or ignoring him, and it could be that he’s just overanalyzing the situation.
He sent a few texts but didn’t get a reply, so he thought perhaps he’d forgotten or overlooked them. Interestingly, it has been around 18 years since they last communicated.
When queried about rumors of disputes, the Ra.One filmmaker dismissed the speculations and revealed that the actual conflict transpired between the producer and financier. Upon further questioning regarding a potential disagreement about a specific song featuring Ajay Devgn, Sinha explained, “There was no argument concerning any song, as far as I’m aware… This is untrue.
During our chat, Sinha singled out the actor from De De Pyaar De 2 as one of his “top picks.” He expressed that he’s long admired him not just as an actor, but also as a person. The director added more accolades, referring to him as “a friend’s best friend,” emphasizing how he would always be the first to lend a helping hand to a friend in need.
Despite acknowledging that he made comments about people’s political views, which likely included remarks about Sinha himself, he clarified that he wasn’t singling him out. He engaged in such conversations with multiple individuals. Yet, Sinha stressed that his relationships with these people remain amicable. In closing, he expressed his admiration and respect for the individual, stating, “I hold him in high regard as an actor and person.
Sinha’s last directorial was Netflix’s IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack.
