On the 24th of May, I’ll be joining seven other top-tier Tennis Clash players in an epic showdown. We’re not just playing for fun; there’s a €5,000 prize pool at stake, and the prestigious title of Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault 2025 champion is up for grabs. Let’s see who comes out on top!
In this tournament, which attracted more than half a million participants eager to participate in the finals, it has undoubtedly been the largest event in the series thus far. To commemorate such a significant occasion, we had a conversation with the current champion, Alessandro Bianco “ΔLEX”, about his opinions and preparations for the tournament, as he strives to join an exclusive group of just two players who have successfully defended their eSeries title.
What do you love most about Tennis Clash and how did you first get into the game?
By mere happenstance, while searching for a tennis game in the Apple App Store, I stumbled upon Tennis Clash. What truly captivates me is its transformation into a genuine esports contender – it’s astounding to witness a mobile game reach such a competitive and thrilling level.
How does it feel to be an ambassador for Tennis Clash and to be competing at this year’s Roland Garros eSeries event as reigning champion?
It’s truly an esteemed privilege for me. Competing in the tournament once more, particularly as the current title holder, is something I wear with great pride. Being an emissary for Tennis Clash holds significant value for me, and I am eagerly looking forward to returning to Roland Garros this year.
What are your thoughts on the new team format and the opportunity to lead Gilles Simon’s team?
Last year, I was fortunate enough to cross paths with Gilles Simon, and I can’t wait to reunite with him and collaborate as part of our team in the future. This innovative setup promises an additional dimension of strategy and camaraderie – I believe it will make for a truly exhilarating adventure.
Throughout last year’s final, you appeared composed at all times. How do you manage to stay so calm under pressure?
To put it simply, last year, I primarily relied on a bold approach while playing – I aimed for power strokes without getting bogged down by excessive thought. This mindset kept me composed and in charge especially during crucial situations.
Do you have any particular strategies or routines to prepare for the final?
In the previous year, my schedule was more flexible, primarily focusing on honing my power strokes and maintaining a sense of confidence. However, that approach served me well in the past, but I recognize it won’t suffice this time around. To maintain my lead, I’ll need to devise fresh strategies for improvement.
On May 24th at 4pm CEST, don’t forget to catch Alessandro’s creations by tuning into the final’s live broadcasts on Twitch and YouTube.
