Ali Fazal calls fatherhood a 'spiritual experience'; says daughter is always in his mind even during 'work'

As a dedicated follower of the Bollywood scene, I have been captivated by the heartwarming journey of Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha as they navigate parenthood for the first time with their newborn daughter. From the moment they announced her arrival, it’s clear that the couple is deeply in love and embracing every challenge that comes with raising a child.

This year on July 16, Bollywood actor Ali Fazal became a first-time father to a daughter with actress Richa Chadha. Ever since then, the couple has been devoted to caring for their newborn. However, due to professional obligations, Ali must often depart from his wife and child to visit different cities across India and even overseas. During a recent interview in Lucknow, he expressed his longing for them. Ali described fatherhood as a profoundly spiritual journey for him.

During an interview with ETimes, actor Ali Fazal shared that while he’s working, his thoughts often drift to his child. Just like any devoted father, Ali is deeply preoccupied with her at the moment, but in a positive sense. He went on to discuss his journey into parenthood, describing it as a profoundly spiritual experience, and mentioned that he has learned so much during this time. Additionally, he acknowledged that since becoming a father, he has developed a more tranquil demeanor. In his own words, “It’s hard to put it into words,” he told the publication, explaining that just like his wife, actress Richa Chadha, he too has experienced restless nights.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Richa shared about modifying her routines and lifestyle to suit the sleeping pattern of their two-month-old child. Referring to the baby as a ‘4-kilo boss’, she mentioned that they now work around her timetable. Speaking candidly about this new phase, she described it as a life stage filled with fresh experiences, featuring moments like getting eight hours of sleep and struggles such as tiredness and mental fog. Despite these challenges, she finds solace in the knowledge that everyone originates from a woman.

Ali and Richa received warm congratulations from numerous Bollywood stars after announcing the birth of their daughter by sharing a photo of her tiny feet. Celebrities like Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Urmila Matondkar, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker, Malaika Arora, Angad Bedi, Aditi Roy Hydari, Dia Mirza, Sayani Gupta, and others extended their well-wishes as they began this exciting new phase of parenthood.
