Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding was toughest to manage, says security consultant Yusuf Ibrahim; shares which star’s wedding was easiest

In Bollywood, celebrity weddings are often extravagant events, yet couples usually ask for privacy. However, the media and fans tirelessly try to find important details about these nuptials. Notably, renowned security consultant Yusuf Ibrahim disclosed that managing the marriage of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor was particularly challenging due to the massive crowd gathered outside their building, causing chaos. Conversely, during the COVID-19 period, Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal’s wedding was more straightforward to handle because of its smaller scale.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, the well-known security consultant Yusuf Ibrahim shared his insights on securing high-profile weddings. Among other topics, he was asked to compare the most difficult and straightforward events he has managed. In response, Ibrahim mentioned that the wedding of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022 at their residence in Mumbai’s Pali Hill neighborhood presented a significant challenge for him.

It turns out that the couple had decided to keep their wedding under wraps, but somehow word got out, resulting in approximately 350 journalists and countless fans congregating outside their building, creating a commotion. These crowds obstructed access and made it challenging for guests to reach the event venue.

He mentioned that the situation became particularly difficult since the attendees of the wedding were well-known personalities. The commotion was so intense that even those living in the building grew frustrated and deeply disturbed by it.

As a result, Yusuf assigned a team of sixty security personnel who worked in rotating shifts of eighteen hours each, round-the-clock for six days, to maintain security at the location. However, the predicament intensified when the media tried to scale the walls to catch a peek of the couple and Alia Bhatt’s wedding attire. To handle this problem, the security consultant stationed some guards in uniform while others wore civilian clothing to discreetly keep tabs on the situation.

Instead of his usual hectic events, Yusuf found Varun Dhawan’s wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic to be surprisingly manageable. He explained that the couple chose to host their wedding at a resort, which meant fewer fans and media were present. In fact, Yusuf stated, “The family stayed in seclusion for three days, minimizing any distractions.” This led to a more tranquil and relaxed wedding experience.
