All Keeper’s Tag Locations in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

In the game “Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon,” you’ll encounter a side mission titled “Brothers in Arms.” During this mission, your objective is to gather Keeper’s Tokens from fallen Keepers located across the world. These tokens symbolize their sacrifice and are to be handed over to Fearghas, who is the quartermaster at the Horns of the South castle.

Although the mission can be finished by locating just a handful of tags, there are a total of 13 Keeper’s Tags scattered throughout the game environment. Gathering and submitting all of them will grant you the “Honor Over Life” accomplishment/trophy.

All Keeper’s Tag Locations in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

In Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, the spots where each Keeper’s Tag is located are detailed below. Feel free to collect them in whatever sequence suits you, with one exception – the initial Keeper’s Tag discovered within Island Asylum must be picked up first, according to the game rules.

To earn the achievement or trophy, avoid submitting the Keeper’s Tags individually as it concludes the quest. Once submitted, Fearghas will refuse to take any more tags from you, preventing you from completing the trophy.

Island Asylum/Ninian’s Tag (Keeper’s Tag 1)

In the initial stages of the game, located within Island Asylum, the area where the story begins, lies the first Keeper’s Tag that grants the trophy/achievement. However, it’s crucial to note that this item can be overlooked easily. After Caradoc releases you, continue your journey, battling Red Priests and Undead adversaries as you progress. Eventually, you’ll encounter a locked door that requires the Laboratory Key to open.

1. Grab the Red Priest’s key from the corpse close by the bridge, then proceed into the room. Next, eliminate the adversaries and chat with the NPC who had been subjected to experiments. Agree to carry out their request for termination, and later retrieve the Ninian’s Tag from their remains.

nother version:

2. Retrieve the Red Priest’s key from his body on the nearby bridge, enter the room, eliminate the opponents, speak with the NPC who had been experimented on, agree to perform the task of elimination, and finally loot the Ninian’s Tag from their body.

Near the Starting Area (Keeper’s Tag 2)

In the beginning of Act 1 in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, you can grab the second Keeper’s Tag immediately after arriving at the shore. After cleaning up, venture west from the beach and you’ll come across an abandoned camp inhabited by a Corpse Eater creature. Defeat this monster and search its remains to discover the second Keeper’s Tag nearby.

The Flooded Mine (Keeper’s Tag 3 & 4)

At a spot close to the fast travel point, The Peninsula, lies The Flooded Mine, a flooded tunnel system. Before you even get to the castle, you can gather two Keeper’s Tags here. To find this mine, follow the location shown on your map. Upon arrival, you’ll see the entrance to the Flooded Mine dungeon. The first Keeper’s Tag is situated next to the mine’s entrance itself.

For your next step, venture into the Flooded Underground Mine. Once there, navigate through the watery region and follow the right tunnel. Instead of crossing the bridge above, dive beneath the surface and swim towards the opening on the left. Continue swimming forward until you come across a deceased Keeper hidden among some submerged rocks. You’ll find the Keeper’s Tag in this location.

Near a Druidic Shrine on the Beach (Keeper’s Tag 5)

Remain on the beach and continue moving westward. Eventually, you will reach a location featuring two wooden structures and some Redcap monsters. Overcome these creatures and explore the huts. In the western hut, you’ll find a deceased Keeper who is in possession of a Keeper’s Tag. You can retrieve this item as loot.

Pate’s Tag (Keeper’s Tag 6)

You’ll come across Keeper Pate on the castle’s northern wall at Horns of the South. Speak with him, and he’ll ask you to read a letter for him. Select “I’ll read it out loud” or something similar, then retrieve the Letter from the Keeper’s Sister from your inventory and speak to him once more.

First, reveal the truth about the Letter to him, whatever you decide afterwards, he will leap off a cliff. Take a break at a camp nearby and explore the area beneath the castle wall where he was previously posted. You’ll discover his lifeless body on the ground, allowing you to retrieve a Keeper’s Tag, as well as some additional items.

In this version, I tried to make the sentence flow more smoothly, using “take a break at a camp nearby” instead of “rest at a nearby camp,” and “explore the area beneath the castle wall” rather than “go outside the castle and check the area under the wall.” Additionally, I replaced the word “loot” with “retrieve” to make it sound less aggressive.

Lighthouse (Keeper’s Tag 7)

Make your way to the second lighthouse situated at the rear of the Horns of the South castle. Upon reaching the entrance, proceed left past the copper ore deposit. You will encounter a deceased Keeper near a chest, allowing you to retrieve a Keeper’s Tag by looting the body.

Sunken Village (Keeper’s Tag 8, 9, & 10)

Three Keeper’s Tokens can be found in the Sunken Village region, which lies to the north of the Horns of the South. Be cautious as you gather them because this area is teeming with monsters.

Make your way towards the heart of the village, which features several large wooden buildings connected together. Climb the stairs and cross over the suspension bridge. Once you’ve crossed the bridge, enter the house on the right side, then ascend to find the first Keeper’s Tag in this area. For the next one, exit the building, continue past the bridge, and eventually reach a tower. Immediately upon entering the tower, turn right to discover another deceased Keeper.

To reach the last Keeper’s Tag in this location, make your way to the fast travel spot within the zone first. Then, swim towards the southern tip of the beach and cross over to the opposite side. After that, follow the large opening in the ravine until you come across a deceased Keeper at the end. This area also contains an Origin Potion.

To find the final Keeper’s Tag in this area, start by going to the fast travel point within the zone. Next, swim from the southern end of the beach over to the other side. Continue your journey through a large passage in the ravine until you spot a deceased Keeper at the end, along with an Origin Potion.

King’s Road (Keeper’s Tag 11)

In the open space beneath King’s Road, near Archspire, you’ll come across a deceased Guardian. To reach this location from the fast travel point of King’s Road, look for a gap in the wall to pass through. Once you’ve gone through, search for a big rock in the area highlighted on your map to discover the next Guardian’s Emblem.

Gallows (Keeper’s Tag 12)

Should you be seeking the whereabouts of Bounty for Fingerless Colm, worry not! Simply trace the quest symbol and vanquish the Bandit Chief stationed close to the East Gate fast travel spot. In the vicinity where Fingerless Colm lies, you’ll discover a slain Keeper on a wooden platform.

Forgotten Cemetery (Keeper’s Tag 13)

As a gamer, I’d say: “I traverse to the Forgotten Cemetery Crypt, then make my way to where I once encountered the Necromancer. On the northern side of that room, there’s a snug opening hidden among the rocks. I hop and scramble up those rocks, then squeeze through it. Following these narrow passages leads me, eventually, to a small opening on my right where a dead Keeper lies. There’s also an option to drop down from this spot post-collection of the tag, which takes me back outside.

After gathering all the Keeper’s Badges, you can return to the castle and converse with Fearghas. By doing so, you can hand over all the badges simultaneously, thus concluding the Brothers in Arms mission. This action will also unlock the “Honor Over Life” achievement/trophy in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.
