Fans of actor Vicky Kaushal are eagerly awaiting the release of Chhaava. Recently, the scriptwriter of Sky Force and Mahavatar, who is also responsible for Kaushal’s mythological epic-drama, revealed details about the intense preparation for the film. Additionally, he discussed his work on the upcoming Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya starrer.
Following his work on Sky Force, Niren Bhatt is preparing to direct his attention towards the much-awaited mythological drama, Mahavatar, starring Vicky Kaushal. This film, which delves into the life of Chiranjeevi Parashurama, represents a fresh genre for Bhatt.
When chatting with Mid-day, he also acknowledged that portraying Chiranjeevi Parashurama’s life on the silver screen would be a significant task for both him and director Amar Kaushik.
The speaker mentioned that the narrative revolves around Bhagwan Parashurama, who is the sixth manifestation of Lord Vishnu. There are numerous mentions of this figure found in the Bhagavata Purana and 11 other sacred texts. These old scriptures can be found in libraries, but it’s uncommon for people to read them. Instead, they are primarily used during religious rituals or pujas.
Niren acknowledges that the realms of Sky Force and Mahavatar are entirely distinct, and crafting each movie demands thorough investigation. Noting their extensive research into military forces, he expressed that it made writing a mythological film all the more seamless.
He confidently asserts, “Both styles are excellent choices. I’ve delved into ancient dramas and eleven novels about Parashurama for a thorough understanding, preparing us for future productions, which we hope to start filming sometime next year.
Beyond this, Bhatt – responsible for additional screenplay and dialogue within Sky Force – shared insights into his process. He immersed himself thoroughly in historical records to accurately depict real-life heroes. He acknowledged that the script proved challenging due to its focus on an Air Force officer who vanished during combat. The writer underscored their meticulous attention to detail, encompassing technical terms, physical gestures, and military protocol.
Additionally, the author revealed they consulted with an Indian Air Force pilot regarding their work. They mentioned that movies depicting the military must receive approval from them, as a film honoring our heroes is unlikely to miss its mark.
Vicky Kaushal will star in the upcoming film “Mahavatar,” which was officially announced a year ago in November, and is set to hit theaters during Christmas of 2026.
