As a lifestyle connoisseur, let me tell you that I’m genuinely thrilled about the upcoming Bollywood blockbuster, Alpha, which is generating quite a buzz. This new chapter in the YRF Spy Universe will be graced by none other than Alia Bhatt and the promising newcomer Sharvari. Recently, the action design maestro and stunt specialist extraordinaire, Craig Macrae, shared some fascinating insights about collaborating with these two talented actresses. He proudly declared that they both gave their all, pouring in a whopping 110% during the filming process. Moreover, he fondly reminisced about the grueling training sessions they underwent, which left them sporting a few battle scars and aching bodies – a small price to pay for delivering top-notch performances, I’d say!
During a recent conversation with IWMBuzz, Craig Macrae shared memories of his first encounters with producer Aditya Chopra. He mentioned that he had expressed to him that the success of Alpha would hinge on the actresses – specifically, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari – and their dedication to the project in terms of effort and time invested in the film.
As a devoted follower, I’d like to share an interesting tidbit: Months prior to the arrival of the stunt team, a skilled professional began preparing alongside Alia and Sharvari. This seasoned pro schooled us in the fundamentals, ensuring our footwork was spot-on, teaching us the correct way to strike, and providing us with the basics of all weapon work. He even went as far as harnessing us in wires for practice. That’s the insightful revelation by Macrae.
Craig Macrae added, “The women gave their all – 110% effort. They attended every single session without fail. They ended up with bruises and aching bodies, but they returned the next day.” Subsequently, he explained that the actresses were trained in choreography by the stunt crew for approximately two months.
According to Macrae, both Alia and Sharvari put in a tremendous amount of work and even requested additional rehearsals. He believes the audience will notice their dedication on screen. Moreover, he praised the hard work of his team and the stunt doubles. In closing, Macrae expressed that this approach is going to result in a stunning production that will make a positive impact on the industry.
Alpha, the upcoming movie, is helmed by Shiv Rawail, who is known for his work on “The Railway Men.” Alongside Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, Bobby Deol will also be featured in this film. Interestingly, he will portray the villainous character. The film is scheduled to hit theaters simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on December 25, 2025, making it a perfect Christmas treat for moviegoers.
