Alpha: Sharvari Wagh talks about working on Alia Bhatt-led spy thriller; calls it 'masterclass in learning how to do action'

As a dedicated follower of Bollywood, I am absolutely thrilled by Sharvari Wagh’s meteoric rise and her impressive journey so far. Her recent interviews about her action-packed films, Alpha and Vedaa, have left me in absolute awe.

At present, Sharvari Wagh is basking in the glory of her latest films, Munjya and Maharaj. Two more movies are on their way, highlighting her talent for action: Vedaa, paired with John Abraham, and Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt. Lately, she has been talking about her experience performing action sequences in both Alpha and Vedaa.

During a recent conversation with Variety, the actress who played Munjya spoke candidly about her upcoming Yash Raj Films spy thriller Alpha. She shared that the film will present a more challenging role for her, and she feels that each day on the set of ‘Alpha’ is like attending a masterclass in learning action sequences.

Originally, TopMob hinted that Alia Bhatt might star in an upcoming spy movie within the YRF Universe. Now, the filmmakers have confirmed that the movie is titled Alpha and both Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will lead the cast. A short teaser trailer, lasting about 50 seconds, has been released, showcasing the YRF Spy Universe logo and a powerful voiceover from Alia announcing the title. The clip also offers a sneak peek of the movie’s thrilling background music.

As a devoted follower, I echo her words: “The Greek alphabet’s first character embodies our program’s ethos. Always first, always swift, always valiant. Observe closely, for in each city, there lies a jungle, and the jungle is forever ruled by the Alpha.”

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d like to share my experience working with the talented John during my time at Vedaa. Sharvari, my esteemed co-star, gratefully acknowledged John for his guidance in mastering action sequences. For her, John’s impact was nothing short of transformative. On and off camera, he took on the role of a mentor, helping Sharvari navigate through the challenging world of filmmaking with grace and skill.

In simple terms, Sharvari spoke about her training experiences in Jodhpur and Mumbai, highlighting Abraham’s persistence and kindness as he mentored her during her debut action movie. She reminisced about her initial bewilderment on set, admitting that she was overwhelmed by the information provided on her first day, which led her to seek Abraham’s assistance.

He assured her to simply follow his instructions, which became her approach to every action sequence in the film. She also noted that Abraham patiently answered all her questions throughout the process.
