Actress Ameesha Patel is known for her openness within the Bollywood industry and has won over audiences by reprising her role as Sakina in Gadar 2. Lately, she disclosed that while filming, she experienced a startling health issue when she was soaked with cold water. However, her fellow actor Sunny Deol stepped up to the plate, becoming a true-life hero, and took care of her to safeguard her safety.
During an open conversation with Jarp Media, Ameesha Patel reminisced about the fatigue – both physical and mental – she experienced after filming a water scene. She confided that despite asking for hot water, she was soaked in cold instead, making matters worse as she wore a thin cotton salwar kameez, leaving her in great discomfort.
The actress confessed that the movie crew tried warming her several times, with some suggesting they apply brandy on her feet. However, her state worsened, eventually causing her to lose consciousness.
She mentioned that following the completion of the scene, while some people remained unaware, her staff recognized that they needed to carry her and transport her to her make-up trailer because she had fainted. She didn’t regain consciousness for approximately three to four hours, leading others to believe she was deceased. At this point, there were concerns expressed about her survival.
Eventually, the team of the actress known for Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai swathed her in cozy blankets, and after four hours, she stirred awake but was unable to recall any events from that period.
Ameesha reminisced, “Sunny, in reality, played the role of Tara Singh in my life. When I was in need, he stood by Sakina. It’s hard to believe, but he even brought a blood pressure machine from his own room to check mine and took my temperature with a thermometer.
After local physicians in Mumbai suggested an injection for the actress, her Jaat colleague took it upon himself to consult with their medical professionals instead, demonstrating concern for her wellbeing. Patel acknowledged the actor’s thoughtfulness and concern during that difficult period.
In 2023, Gadar 2 was helmed by Anil Sharma and starred Ameesha Patel, Sunny Deol, Utkarsh Sharma, and Simrat Kaur prominently. This movie turned out to be a box office hit, ranking among the top-earning films of that year.
