An Avatar: Fire And Ash Crew Member Just Made A Bold Claim About The Film’s Ending, And I’m So Pumped

The 2025 lineup of films boasts several highly anticipated titles, but none seem as momentous as the forthcoming “Avatar: Fire and Ash” by James Cameron. This science fiction sequel is poised to delve deeper into the franchise’s mythology in captivating fashion, all while maintaining the Sully family’s story as its heart. Naturally, grandeur plays a significant role in the narrative, and Cameron has proven himself quite adept at delivering such spectacle. However, I must admit that I was taken aback (and equally excited) upon hearing a crew member’s bold prediction regarding the upcoming third installment.

So far, not much is known about the plot of “Fire and Ash.” But tidbits of interesting information have been trickling out from the cast and team. Recently, Ben Procter, one of the film’s production designers, spoke with Empire about the movie. He expressed his view that the final act of “Fire and Ash” will make the epic battle at the end of “Way of Water” seem like a minor skirmish in comparison. To emphasize this, he also stated that another significant aspect of the film is even more impressive than this bold claim.

In Avatar 3, I’ll be witnessing an epic clash between the forces of Pandora and RDA, played out across both air and water. This unique battleground promises an exhilarating spectacle. As for the scale of the conflict at the end of the film, it’s set to be unprecedented, a level of intensity that I can hardly wait to experience.

As a cinema enthusiast, I must admit, it’s no small feat to surpass the intensity and emotional turmoil that The Way of Water brought about in its climax. The final act was an exhilarating blend of aerial and ground combat, pitting the Sully family against Miles Quaritch and the Resources Development Administration (RDA). Tragically, this battle resulted in the loss of Neteyam, Jake and Neytiri’s son. Needless to say, crafting a third act that could outdo such emotional depth is quite a challenge.

Ben Procter appears to have grounds for feeling optimistic about Avatar: Fire and Ash surpassing its predecessor. For instance, Empire divulged that this time, the RDA will be equipped with fresh equipment, such as a colossal Factory Ship, which essentially functions like a floating oil platform, capturing the tulkun that resemble whales. The airborne aspect of the impending battle is also likely to be quite spectacular. Additionally, based on the hints dropped so far, I believe I have an inkling about how aerial skirmishes might unfold.

The upcoming “Avatar” movie will present the Tlalim Clan, or The Wind Traders, a lively band of Na’vi known for traveling in grand airships. Their arrival often brings a festive atmosphere reminiscent of a circus. Despite their appealing nature, it wouldn’t surprise me if they find themselves entangled in the final battle of the storyline. If that happens, audiences can expect an exhilarating show.

James Cameron asserts that Fire and Ash isn’t solely a dark film, but it might delve into gloomy territories due to the emergence of a new Na’vi group – the Mangkwan, or “Ash” people. Known for their destructive tendencies, these newcomers could significantly influence the climactic battle. It remains to be seen what Cameron plans, but if Ben Procter’s statements are accurate, audiences might be in store for another remarkable cinematic adventure – a prospect I find thrilling!

Before “Avatar: Fire and Ash” hits the theaters on December 19th, why not catch up on the first two movies of the series by subscribing to Disney+ and streaming them online?
