As a die-hard sneakerhead with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the upcoming drop of the Awake NY x Jordan Air Ship “Game Royal“. It’s not every day that we get to see such a unique take on a classic silhouette like the Air Ship.
Awake NY collaboration with Jordan Air Ship “Game Royal
We have been waiting for more than a year to see a collaboration project between Awake NY and Jordan Brand, featuring the Air Ship in red and blue colorways. Although the original design became available in stores back in March, it’s only now that we are expecting the “Game Royal” version to hit the shelves in the upcoming weeks.
Looking forward to the release of the Awake NY x Jordan Air Ship “Game Royal”, here’s a closer look at what you can anticipate from this sneaker. Much like its red counterpart, this pair has been intentionally aged, with a yellowed midsole and a dusty outsole. The upper features silver Swooshes, which are accentuated by blue outlines that echo the blue on the snakeskin collar. Additionally, Awake’s “A” script reappears as stitching at the lateral midfoot.
As I type this, neither Awake NY nor Jordan Brand have publicly disclosed the release date for their “Game Royal” version of the Air Ship shoe. Keep an eye out for more information, including actual images of the sneakers, as we anticipate they will become available through Awake NY on November 2, with a starting price of $150 USD.
