As an ardent fan, I am thoroughly captivated by Ananya Panday‘s journey, both on and off-screen. Her response to flushing or burning a photo of an ex resonates deeply with many women, myself included. The idea of an “ex-box” filled with mementos is a secret desire turned reality for some, including the likes of Kourtney Kardashian.
Actress Ananya Panday, known for her role in “Call Me Bae”, shares similarities with many others when dealing with past relationships. At the moment, she’s deeply engrossed in an OTT series scheduled to debut on Amazon Prime Video on September 6, 2024. Recently, she was questioned about if she had ever destroyed a picture of an ex. Her answer, which included burning a photo and maintaining a “Kourtney Kardashian-inspired ex-box”, suggests a common hidden wish among numerous women.
In a conversation with Fever FM, when queried if she had ever discarded a picture of an old flame, Panday chuckled and stated, “No, I’ve destroyed it, not thrown it away. What if it got stuck? That would be a bigger calamity.” Later, she disclosed that she had saved some memorabilia from a past relationship, stating, “Yes, I had an ‘ex-box’ containing certain items and memories. I believe Kourtney Kardashian did something similar; she stored items in an ‘ex-box’ as well.”
In the preview for Call Me Bae, we meet Ananya’s character, named Bae, who initially leads a life filled with affluence and lavishness. Unexpectedly, her opulent existence is cut short, leading her to embark on a fresh start. Bae decides to relocate to Mumbai and lands a job as a reporter. Along her path of personal growth, she interacts with Vir Das, Varun Sood, and even gets a funny wink from Siddhant Chaturvedi in the storyline.
In a particular moment, Ananya’s character expresses to a security guard, “I’m the one battling, brother,” to which he replies, “It’s our aspiration to reach the stage of your strife, that’s where it all starts for us.”
