As a seasoned gamer who’s no stranger to the thrill of triathlons in virtual reality, this collaboration between Timex and wander has caught my attention like never before! The Ironman 8-LAP watch is more than just a timepiece – it’s a tool for the real-life athlete inside me.
After a successful joint venture with MM6 Maison Margiela that was completely sold out, Timex returns with a fresh collaboration. For this project, the watch company is joining forces with a popular Japanese outdoor brand and wandering group to create a unique timepiece.
Equipped with 100 meters of waterproof capabilities, the Ironman 8-LAP is a practical watch specifically designed for triathlon events. The watch case on this model has a unique design and is made from phosphorescent material, which means it glows in dimly lit surroundings.
Simplified in a limited color scheme, this watch showcases a clean white structure accented by black elements. The face houses buttons that activate common features such as 8-lap memory, chronograph, calendar, timer, alarm, and night light (Indiglo). Branding details can be found on the dial, caseback, and strap, indicating a collaboration between brands.
The Timex Ironman 8-LAP, a product of collaboration, is being sold for approximately $180 USD or ¥27,500 JPY on Wander’s official website as well as their physically managed outlets.
