Anheuser-Busch will bring a full roster of beers to this year’s Super Bowl party.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m pumped to share that the colossal beverage corporation has bagged three whole minutes of prime-time national advertising space during the upcoming Super Bowl LIX, scheduled for February 9 on Fox. Plus, they’ve got an additional 45 seconds reserved for regional ads! Can’t wait to see their creative spots during the big game!
This year’s Super Bowl advertising schedule has been set by the regular planner for the Super Bowl, who will showcase sports commercials for five distinct beer labels: Michelob Ultra, Busch Light, Budweiser, Bud Light, and Stella Artois. The firm explains that these five ads serve as a launching pad for each brand, setting the stage for their marketing efforts throughout the rest of the year. Last year, they ran advertisements for three different brands: Bud Light, Budweiser, and Michelob Ultra. In simpler terms, these beer brands are using the Super Bowl as a starting point for their advertising strategies in 2021, with each brand’s ad acting as a kickoff for its upcoming marketing campaigns.
Kyle Norrington, Anheuser-Busch’s chief commercial officer, acknowledges the special advantage that our long history with the Super Bowl has given us. Being a vital component of the televised event and enhancing the in-game experience in bars nationwide, as well as at home viewing parties, is not a responsibility we underestimate. A spectacle like the Super Bowl allows us to demonstrate to the world that no one else can seize the moment quite like we do.
This year, Anheuser-Busch claims the title as the “top Super Bowl advertiser among all beer, alcohol, and consumer product companies.
For the upcoming Super Bowl in 2025, Bud Light – a regular at the event – is set to make another appearance following last year’s “Bud Light Genie” commercial, which showcased stars like Post Malone, Dana White, and Peyton Manning. In this year’s ad, they hint at collaborating with more famous faces. The focus of their advertisement will be on the idea that there’s nothing quite as enjoyable as sharing good company and ice-cold Bud Lights.
Furthermore, not only is the game being utilized for entertainment purposes, but it’s also serving as a platform for the company to showcase some of its rapidly expanding beers. Specifically, Michelob Ultra is set to roll out its “Play For An Ultra” campaign, while Stella Artois will make a return to the Super Bowl after a five-year hiatus. In the case of Stella Artois, they plan to enlist the aid of well-known celebrity collaborators for their advertisement.
During the game, you’ll find regional advertisements for both Budweiser and Busch Light. Budweiser plans to showcase their iconic Clydesdales, while Busch Light is set to reappear with their popular “Busch Guy” persona.
Typically, previews will start appearing before the major match, with several advertisements fully unveiled on the day itself.
