In the ’90s, Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor were one of the most successful acting duos in Bollywood. They collaborated on numerous films such as Ram Lakhan, Tezaab, Khel, and Jamai Raja, producing many hits together. Notably, director Indra Kumar, who has previously worked with them in the film Beta (1992), stated that they share a strong on-screen chemistry and are friends off the set as well. Interestingly, he added that Anil Kapoor becomes quite enthusiastic whenever Madhuri Dixit’s name is mentioned.
Indra Kumar recently opened up in an interview with Siddharth Kannan about the unique bond between Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor. He shared some personal insights into their friendship, stating that they hold a deep respect and admiration for one another. In addition, the director mentioned that the actor, Malag, had a deep affection for Madhuri and admired her greatly. Moreover, he often encouraged her at the right moments, a bond that translated beautifully into their outstanding screen partnership.
Kumar added that Anil has maintained his admiration for his longtime colleague and friend Madhuri, stating, “He was more than a co-star to her – he was like a benefactor. To this day, Anil gets excited whenever he hears Madhuri‘s name. Just ask him anytime.
