Animal: Mahesh Bhatt REACTS to Ranbir Kapoor facing scrutiny for his role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film; ’You stand in the sun, you get sunburnt'

As a seasoned observer and participant in the dynamic world of Bollywood for decades, I must say that the reactions to Ranbir Kapoor‘s performance in Animal are no surprise. The entertainment industry is, indeed, a bloodsport, where both victories and downfalls are celebrated with equal fervor.

In 2023, the movie “Animal” featuring Ranbir Kapoor was unveiled. Yet, as months have passed since its initial release, discussions about his portrayal of Ranvijay haven’t subsided one bit. Now, it’s none other than his father-in-law, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt who has voiced his thoughts on the relentless examination that Ranbir received for embodying this role in the action-thriller.

In response to the varied responses towards Ranbir Kapoor’s character in the film Animal, Mahesh Bhatt commented that such reactions are an inherent aspect of the entertainment industry. Using the term ‘bloodsport’, he explained that when someone steps into this competitive field, there will be individuals who cheer on their failures as well as those who applaud their triumphs. He emphasized that criticism and examination are integral to this world.

Mahesh Bhatt, director of Sadak 2, also commented on Ranbir’s career choice, emphasizing that only a small number of people are performers while the majority watch. He believes that the world is meant for creators, not just critics who sit back and criticize talented performers. Bhatt stated, “It takes courage to be a performer,” acknowledging the risks involved in the profession. Furthermore, he suggested that one cannot have both praise and criticism simultaneously. In his words, “Stand in the sun, get sunburnt.”

Recently, Arshad Warsi, renowned for his role in Total Dhamaal, expressed admiration for Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, commending them for crafting something extraordinary in the film Animal. During an interview on UNFILTERED by Samdish, he marveled at the unique universe Sandeep had constructed, stating, “It seems to be a product of one man’s creative mind,” expressing his delight in experiencing it.

In terms of his professional endeavors, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up to play Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of Ramayana. Sai Pallavi, a renowned actress from the South, will portray Sita alongside him. Yash is set to appear as Raavan, while Sunny Deol, known for his role in Gadar 2, will embody Lord Hanuman. The production started in March, with filming happening consistently in Mumbai. Indira Krishna, a seasoned actress, has confirmed her role as Kaushalya in the two-part movie.
