Recently, Bhushan Kumar, one of the producers, shared that production on the sequel is progressing smoothly. He hinted that once director Sandeep Reddy Vanga finishes his current project with Prabhas, they will dive headfirst into the Ranbir-led film within the next six months.
After the movie Animal concludes, viewers catch a glimpse of the title Animal Park in the closing credits, a sequel that the production team has officially acknowledged. Exciting news for fans was shared by Bhushan Kumar, managing director of T-series Productions, during a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, revealing that work on the film is already in progress.
It’s been disclosed that the director of the current movie is planning his next project, titled “Spirit,” which will be a Telugu-language entertainer. Notably, the main character will be portrayed by superstar Prabhas. At this point, though, the rest of the cast has not been finalized. They are currently working on it, and it’s expected that the filming for this project will commence by the end of December 2024.
After a break of six months, we’ll move straight onto the production of “Animal Park”, starring Ranbir Kapoor. In his own words, “There will be a six-month pause, followed by immediate work on ‘Animal Park’.
For those who haven’t heard yet, the movie Animal faced criticism for its storyline and graphic violence. But according to India Today, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga said that Animal Park will be even darker and more brutal than Animal. Additionally, he revealed that filming for the new movie is set to start in 2026, which has fans even more eager due to producer Kumar’s recent statement.
Furthermore, during a chat with Netflix India, Kapoor mentioned that Vanga shared some scenes from the forthcoming sequel with him. These sneak peeks piqued his curiosity and left him eager to learn more about it.
In terms of his career, Ranbir Kapoor is currently engaged in two upcoming projects: Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of Ramayana featuring Sai Pallavi and Yash, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War alongside Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt.
