As a seasoned crypto investor with a keen interest in blockchain technology and decentralized finance (DeFi), I’m excited about Animoca Brands’ latest move to launch a validator on Core Chain. With my experience of observing the crypto landscape, I can see that this partnership has the potential to significantly boost network security and decentralization for Core Chain.
As an analyst at a Web3 gaming firm like Animoca Brands, I’m excited to share that we have recently introduced a validator on Core Chain, a robust layer-1 blockchain powered by Bitcoin. Our objective is threefold: firstly, to enhance network security and decentralization; secondly, to contribute significantly to the evolving landscape of Bitcoin finance (BTCfi). By actively participating in the validation process, we aim to strengthen the Core Chain ecosystem and support its growth as an EVM-compatible platform.
Core Chain, with a goal to release approximately $1.3 trillion of dormant Bitcoin liquidity, leverages Animoca Brands’ profound expertise in managing validators on diverse blockchains. This collaboration intends to bolster network resilience, effective governance, and streamlined transaction processing across various blockchain platforms.
Animoca Brands intends to work closely with Core contributors in adding preferred decentralized applications (dApps) from its Web3 investments to the Core platform. This collaboration is projected to speed up Core’s development and expand the usage of BTCfi, the native token of Core Chain. With over 4,800 Bitcoin ($180 million in value) already staked on Core Chain, the platform has gained significant traction.
As a researcher studying the latest developments in the Web3 industry, I’m excited to share that I, Brendon Sedo from Core, am thrilled to announce our new collaboration with Animoca Brands. This well-renowned company in the Web3 space is now a significant contributor to our network by running a validator on Core. Through this partnership, Animoca Brands plays a pivotal role in securing the Core chain and enabling BTCF (Core’s native token) functionality.
