Anna Faris Wants Her ‘House Bunny’ Character to Be a CIA Interrogator in a Possible Sequel

As a longtime fan of Anna Faris and her acting, I can’t help but get excited at the thought of a potential sequel to “The House Bunny.” This movie holds a special place in my heart, not just for its hilarious moments and charming characters, but also for the way it resonated with me on a personal level.

Currently, no plans have been announced for a sequel to “The House Bunny” with Anna Faris. However, she has thought up some potential ideas for a follow-up film.

Before the premiere of her new movie, “My Spy in The Eternal City,” the actress gave an interview to People, during which she reminisced about her 2008 film experience featuring Emma Stone, Kat Dennings, and Rumer Willis.

Faris expressed her longing to reprise the role of Shelley Darlingson to the magazine. She shared that she’s been brainstorming ideas for her character’s transformation. At one point, she envisioned Shelley as a struggling country singer, but then considered the alternative of making her a skilled CIA interrogator.

The “Scary Movie” actor went on to say, “Her ability to disarm people is quite remarkable. She comes across as so open and nonjudgmental. So I picture Shelley revealing her job as a CIA interrogator. Why not give it a try and write the script? I’d be thrilled with that.”

In a turn of events, the movie “The House Bunny” introduces Shelley, portrayed by Anna Faris, who loses her job as a Playboy Bunny once she hits the age of 27 and is unceremoniously evicted from Hefner’s mansion. Desperate to find a new place for herself, she attempts to join a sorority on campus but is rejected by every one except Zeta Alpha Zeta. This unusual sorority consists of socially awkward girls. Shelley then imparts her extensive knowledge in the art of attracting men, gained through her experiences as a Bunny, to these girls instead.

Faris shared with the audience the reason behind her profound experience of taking on that role. She expressed how it allowed her to depict a character full of empathy and without prejudice, truly acting from the heart.

She shared, in a somewhat naive yet endearing way, that the experience brought ease in making friendships for her. Playing a character devoid of competition and radiating kindness left her longing to live her life with genuine compliments, serving as an effective antidote to jealousy.
