Anne Hathaway Shares First Look at ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’

Anne Hathaway is teasing the upcoming sequel to The Devil Wears Prada.

I, a passionate gamer, hopped onto Instagram yesterday and posted a snapshot where I’m portraying my beloved character, Andy Sachs from “The Devil Wears Prada.” The accompanying caption read “Andy Sachs (2025).

In the 2006 movie, Hathaway played the role of Sachs, an ambitious journalist fresh out of college, who took up the position of personal assistant to Miranda Priestly (Streep), the ruthless editor-in-chief of a prestigious fashion magazine called Runway.

In the 2006 film, Hathaway portrayed Sachs, a journalism graduate with dreams, who landed a job as Miranda Priestly’s (Streep) assistant at the high-end fashion magazine, Runway, where she was the demanding editor-in-chief.

Or:
In the 2006 movie, Hathaway starred alongside Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci as Sachs, a journalism graduate and aspiring journalist who became Miranda Priestly’s (Streep) personal assistant at the fashion magazine Runway.

All these sentences convey the same information but in slightly different ways, making it easier for readers to understand the context.

Twenty years following the initial movie’s release, production on its sequel is underway, with filming scheduled in both New York and Italy. Besides Hathaway, Streep, Blunt, and Tucci are all set to reappear in their respective roles for this upcoming installment. Kenneth Branagh has also been added to the cast.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got some news to share: Adrian Grenier, who was my character’s boyfriend, Nate, in the original flick, won’t be back for the sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Moving forward, Priestly, who continues to lead Runway, will face the challenges of a struggling publishing industry as the magazine experiences a decline. Previously one of Priestly’s assistants, Blunt, is now an executive at a luxury conglomerate that advertises in Runway.

The movie “The Devil Wears Prada” garnered an impressive $326 million at global box offices, landing Meryl Streep a nomination for an Academy Award.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will hit theaters May 1, 2026.
