As a gamer with a keen eye for fashion and a passion for sports, I can’t help but be captivated by the rise of Ante Berlin. Having grown up in Berlin myself, I’ve always been drawn to its unique blend of culture and innovation. The city’s spirit is perfectly encapsulated in the minimalist yet progressive designs that Ante offers.
As a fervent admirer, I’m excited to share my thoughts on Ante, a Berlin-based activewear brand that burst onto the scene just two short years ago. Despite being relatively newcomers in the bustling activewear market, the dynamic trio of founders – Marcus Butler, Julian Weigl, and Christian Zellin – have shown no signs of slowing down.
The threesome has moved forward to assemble an assortment of sharp, modern performance apparel with a contemporary flair. By consistently releasing popular collections, Ante has defined its unique style by blending sleek designs with diverse technical features. As a result, runners throughout Europe have taken notice, and these garments are now being incorporated into everyday attire, merging the worlds of sports and fashion.

Last year, Ante unveiled a fresh collection of ready-to-wear running apparel called Forward Wear. This line includes breathable and quick-drying vests as well as lightweight shorts that have been spotted on racetracks and in campaigns. The unique, Berlin-inspired style of these enhanced essentials offers a modern uniform for today’s committed runners.
Peeking into its creative journey, the brand offers a personal glimpse into their Berlin studio via a candid studio portrait. Situated on Kurfürstenstraße in Mitte, renowned collaborator Sonjay Williams captures the three founders engrossed in the making of mood boards and sample cutting for upcoming projects. The images, untouched by filters, echo the label’s unpretentious yet innovative aesthetic.
Instead of merely being a clothing brand, Ante has nurtured an exceptional creative community centered around running enthusiasts and Berlin culture aficionados. Drawing from their personal experiences, they’ve contributed significantly to the label’s fusion of fashion and sports, little by little. Notably, adidas is one of Ante’s key collaborators. In a recent collaboration, both brands came together at The Speed Project, where runners were invited to try out the latest Ante apparel alongside the new Adizero EVO SL shoes from adidas.
