I’ve been absolutely amazed by the longevity of Anthony Edwards and adidas Basketball’s creation, the adidas AE1. Instead of hastily unveiling a follow-up, they’ve taken a thoughtful approach, introducing the AE1 Low and consistently rolling out fresh colorways for both it and its mid-top variant. As a fan, I can’t wait to see what innovative designs they come up with next!
Currently, during the NCAA Basketball season where both men’s and women’s teams compete to secure a place in this year’s March Madness tournament, Edwards and Three Stripes have collaborated to offer the University of Kansas’ teams an exclusive “Kansas Jayhawks” edition of the AE1 Low. The latest colorway mirrors a previous AE1 Low PE produced at the start of the season, with a distinctive upper boasting a combination of white and blue. The uppermost layer showcases a vibrant shade of blue, while the heel’s Three Stripes branding reveals red. School-themed heel tabs and sockliners bearing the phrase “ROCK CHALK” complete this special pair.
The specific Adidas AE1 Low model designed for the Kansas Jayhawks team, featuring Anthony Edwards, has been confirmed to be a unique edition exclusively for players. At present, it is not anticipated to become available for public purchase. Take a peek at the fresh new shoe unveiled below, and keep an eye out for updates on future designs of Edwards’ signature shoes, as we anxiously wait for his next creation.
