Although opinions among fans and critics differ on Marvel’s newest production, there seems to be a unanimous agreement – the popcorn bucket is truly exceptional! This latest installment in the Popcorn Bucket War undeniably ranks among the best I’ve witnessed, and it appears Anthony Mackie concurs with my sentiments.
This past weekend, Anthony Mackie visited an AMC theater at Disney Springs within Walt Disney World. He dropped by to meet fans who were eagerly waiting to watch him as the latest Captain America on the big screen for the first time. The special moment was recorded and later shared on Instagram. Mackie didn’t stay long but made sure to grab his popcorn using the new shield-shaped bucket!

It seems Mackie exited the theater gratefully, implying that he hadn’t intended to settle down, enjoy the film, and munch on the popcorn in his latest bucket. Personally, I suspect he was just drawn to the allure of the new popcorn container. Frankly, who wouldn’t be tempted?
I can’t help but admire him for his choice, given how exceptional that merchandise is. The unique feature of the popcorn bucket is its collapsible design, resembling a mini Captain America shield on its back. This not only enhances its functionality compared to regular popcorn buckets, but also makes it space-efficient when not in use. Plus, if you wish to showcase it, its design adds a cool factor.

In my role as an expert on the theme park sector, I’ve gained quite a bit of knowledge about popcorn containers. It’s fascinating to observe how popular Disney World buckets can sometimes cause queues longer than the rides themselves! The increasing prevalence of themed popcorn buckets, collectible cups, and even a nacho boat for major movie releases has felt quite unusual to me. I’ve collected a few buckets from theme parks, but most of the ones I see in cinemas haven’t caught my attention—until now, with the Cap one. I find it particularly appealing.
Furthermore, I’m really enjoying the audience responses in this video. At the start, there’s a massive applause as spectators recognize who’s entering the theater. Then, following Anthony Mackie’s speech, an even more thunderous cheer erupts, seeming to involve those unaware of the A-lister’s presence until that moment – truly astonishing.
With Captain America: Brave New World raking in impressive numbers at the box office this weekend, there’s a good chance many folks picked up a popcorn bucket as well. I’m not suggesting you should go watch the movie solely for the cool bucket, but if you’re looking for an excuse to visit your local theater, it wouldn’t be the most illogical reason.
