As Anupam put it, folks often perceived me as haughty and misguided. Yet, I held firm, knowing that the fire within me was simply biding its time to prove them all wrong. And indeed, they were… All thanks to Mahesh Bhatt for this. He bestowed Saaransh upon me, he saw potential in me when others did not. His foresight allowed him to cast me as a 65-year-old man grappling with grief and rebellion, having lost my son.

At the age of 69, he will portray a 69-year-old aspiring triathlon competitor in the movie Vijay 69. Over the span of four decades, he has faced obstacles head-on and stood as an advocate for the everyday person, finding motivation from his modest upbringing. He reminisces about difficult times such as hunger and sleeping in train stations, experiences that add depth to his acting performances.
