Anupam Kher reveals his ‘favorite role’ as he shares his updated CV on LinkedIn: ‘If life is a movie, I’ve been blessed with a blockbuster’

He disclosed that he updates his resume every five years, a routine he’s followed throughout his career. Looking back at his journey, Kher stated, “My next role is always the one I look forward to most,” and further commented, “If life is a movie, I’ve been fortunate enough to star in a blockbuster.” He also expressed, “The show must continue, and I’m prepared for my next major scene!

Anupam Kher recently shared on Instagram an updated version of his resume, offering a sneak peek into his remarkable career and life story. In the opening remarks, he mused about his life, saying it’s been like a hit movie for him. From humble beginnings in Shimla as a small-town boy to walking prestigious red carpets at international film festivals, he has starred in over 500 films. He considers his career a symbol of strength, enthusiasm, and the conviction that setbacks are temporary incidents, not permanent attributes.

Apart from discussing various aspects of his career, Anupam also reminisced about his first film, Saransh (1984), in which he played a 65-year-old character at the age of 28. This role not only ignited his acting journey but also influenced his life perspective significantly. He reiterated, “Every new role I take on becomes my favorite.” Anupam’s professional timeline, as presented in his resume, provided a profound glimpse into his acting abilities, life beliefs, and personal struggles. In a recent turn of events, Anupam Kher has grabbed attention with his portrayal in the second installment of the courtroom drama Kaagaz, premiering on March 1, 2024. This follow-up to the original Kaagaz (2021) is helmed by V.K. Prakash and features a robust ensemble consisting of Darshan Kumar, Satish Kaushik, and Smriti Kalra. The movie, jointly produced by Satish Kaushik Entertainments and Venus Worldwide Entertainment, is an adaptation from Prakash’s earlier Malayalam film, Nirnayakam (2015).
