As a seasoned mobile gamer with years of swiping, tapping, and scrolling under my belt, I must say that Apple Arcade’s latest update has me buzzing like a bee in a honey-laden orchard! The addition of NFL Retro Bowl ’25, Monster Train+, and Puzzle Sculpt to the roster is a veritable gaming feast for those who crave variety.
Today, as you might guess, marks the end of a day and that signals an update for Apple Arcade, the gaming service from Apple Inc. This time, it brings significant new features to the platform along with announcements of upcoming releases that you may have been anticipating. So let’s explore what’s new!
- NFL Retro Bowl ’25: After we previously announced this title would be an update to the already-released Retro Bowl, this new update has gone live and added official NFL branding and teams.
- Monster Train+: This deck-building roguelike sees you pilot a train through the freezing climbs of hell after an invasion by heaven puts out the last of its fire. Fight to relight the fires, for better or for worse.
- Puzzle Sculpt: The odd one out here, Puzzle Sculpt is a spatial game built for the Apple Vision Pro. It’s a relatively simple puzzle game that uses the spatial tools of the device, but for Vision Pro users it’s always welcome to have more.
Arcade madness
Regarding what’s coming up next, the most exciting announcement is undeniably the release of “Balatro+” on Apple Arcade, scheduled for September 26th. Following closely, in October, we can expect games such as the arcade edition of “NBA 2K25”, “Food Truck Pup+”, “Furistas Cat Cafe+”, and an enhanced version titled “Smash Hit+” to make their appearance.
