AR Rahman’s bassist Mohini Dey REACTS to rumors of her divorce connection to Oscar-winning music director; ‘I believe my energy…’

As someone who has spent a significant part of my life immersed in the vibrant world of music, I find it disheartening to see the speculation and rumors that have been circulating lately. It’s a reminder of the power of gossip, even in this digital age where we should know better.

Following AR Rahman and Saira Banu’s announcement of their divorce, Mohini Dey, the music director’s bassist, revealed her own separation from Mark Hurtsuch. However, she has since made it clear that there is no connection between these two announcements. In response to speculation, she asked for privacy and clarified that she declined interview requests as she didn’t wish to expend energy on unverified gossip.

In my latest Instagram post, I shared that I’ve been receiving an overwhelming number of interview requests, and I understand the reasons behind them. However, due to a lack of personal interest in contributing to senseless nonsense, I must politely decline each opportunity. As a lifestyle expert, it’s essential for me to maintain integrity and focus on meaningful conversations.

She added, “I believe my energy is not worth spending on RUMOURS. Kindly, respect my privacy.”

AR Rahman and his wife Saira Banu, who have been married for 29 years, took everyone by surprise when they announced their separation recently. On November 19, not long after they made this announcement on social media, AR Rahman’s bassist, Mohini Dey, also disclosed that she and her husband, Mark Hurtsuch, were getting a divorce.

Many online users found it intriguing that the two announcements happened around the same time, sparking discussions about potential links between them.

Moreover, following Rahman and Saira’s lawyer denying any connection between their divorces, Mohini has stepped forward to clarify the speculations swirling online and kindly asked for everyone’s understanding and regard for her personal space.

Apart from this, AR Ameen, Rahman’s son, vigorously refuted the speculations regarding his parents’ supposed split, linked to Mohini Dey. He acknowledged his father as an “icon” and voiced his frustration about the dissemination of unfounded gossip.

Emphasizing the significance of honesty and reverence when talking about a person’s life and influence, he urged people not to disseminate false information and instead, honor his father’s esteem and the profound effect he’s had on numerous others.

At the tender age of nine, Mohini Dey, a gifted musician, embarked on her musical odyssey. Over the course of her professional life, she has teamed up with numerous renowned global artists such as Zakir Hussain, Shivamani, Willow Smith, Steve Vai, Marco Minnemann, Jordan Rudes, and more, not forgetting her partnerships with Rahman.
