‘Are You My First?’ Reality Series Brings Together Virgins Searching for Love

Think Love Island, but for virgins.

The creators behind the smash-success Peacock phenomenon on ITV America are collaborating with Plimsoll Productions to develop an original, unscripted reality dating competition titled “Are You My First?” for Hulu.

The title suggests that the upcoming “reality dating experiment” is designed for singles who are virgins seeking romance. They’ll experience love, desire, and potentially losing it, as hinted in the announcement.

The show is presented by celebrities from Bachelor Nation, specifically Colton Underwood and Kaitlyn Bristowe; it’s worth noting that Underwood was the first-ever virgin lead on The Bachelor in 2019. Following his career as a professional football player, he publicly announced his homosexuality in 2021 and shared his personal journey in the 2021 Netflix series titled “Coming Out Colton” as well as his bestselling book “The First Time.” At present, he resides in Los Angeles with his husband, Jordan, and their child, Bishop.

As a versatile media personality and podcast host of “Off the Vine,” I stepped back into the world of reality TV in 2021, filling in as a co-host after Chris Harrison’s departure. Prior to that, you might remember me from my stint on “The Bachelorette” in 2015, and more recently, I gave “Dancing With the Stars” a spin in 2020.

In this innovative dating series, a vast number of virgins, known for their attractiveness, embark on a quest for affection, romance, and potentially their first experience in a paradise tailored exclusively for them. For the first time, they can freely investigate their relationships without prejudice, enabling these young, sexually attractive singles to engage in a passionate yet emotionally charged adventure filled with romantic encounters, intriguing challenges, and potential love interests eager to discover The One. Who will find true love? And who will leave disheartened after experiencing intense passion and heartbreak?

Are You My First? starts streaming Monday, Aug. 18, on Hulu.
