13 years ago today, the romantic drama “Ishaqzaade,” featuring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, celebrated its anniversary. This was Arjun’s first film in Bollywood, released on May 11, 2012. To honor this achievement, Arjun Kapoor posted a touching letter on Instagram to his younger self, expressing feelings and gratitude about the role.
The message says, “Hi Arjun (age 26), congratulations! You’ve made it. You’re now at the brink of a dream that once seemed unattainable. I recall all those nights you spent watching movies, hoping they would serve as your refuge and your calling.
Furthermore, the actor from 2 States shared insights on the body changes he experienced to convincingly portray Parma in Ishaqzaade.
“He commented, ‘You’ve not only put in effort to change your physical self, but also your mind and spirit. The time, the dedication, the obstacles, they were all valuable. Stay humble, stay ambitious, and always remember- this transformation started from a kid who was bullied yet passionately loved movies. With love and pride, Arjun 2.0.’ “

The movie delves into the intricacies of their taboo romance and the severe consequences they face due to living in a society filled with prejudice and brutality.
Following their collaboration in Ishaqzaade, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra joined forces once more for the romantic drama Namastey England. Regrettably, this production didn’t manage to hold viewers’ interest when it was released in cinemas.
More recently, Arjun appeared in the romantic comedy “My Husband’s Wife,” co-starring Bhumi Pednekar, Rakul Preet Singh, and Harsh Gujral. The movie, helmed by Mudassar Aziz, did not leave a lasting impression. In the future, keep an eye out for Arjun in “No Entry 2,” where he will team up with Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh.
