Arlene Winnick, an experienced publicist in Hollywood, who worked with numerous clients such as Universal Studios Hollywood and the TCL Chinese Theatre throughout her more than 30-year career, has sadly passed away at the age of 77.

For over three decades, I’ve been a part of the thrilling world of entertainment. In the early stages of my journey, I played a pivotal role in shaping marketing strategies and publicity initiatives for the burgeoning home video sector. This field was responsible for launching some iconic fitness videos starring Richard Simmons, Jane Fonda, and Zsa Zsa Gabor, which became household names.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with various independent PR firms, as well as the Digney team, on numerous entertainment accounts such as Universal Studios Hollywood, Madame Tussauds Hollywood and Las Vegas, Warner Bros. Studio Tour, the Carousel of Hope gala, TCL Chinese Theatres Hollywood, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not.
In her last projects, she participated in the traditional hand-and-foot impression ceremonies at Grauman’s TCL Chinese Theatre for directors like James Cameron and Jon Landau, as well as actors such as Keanu Reeves and the ensemble from the Avengers movies.
Beyond her career in Hollywood, Winnick boasts over three decades of PR expertise. She has managed PR and special events for various industries such as food/restaurants, travel/tourism, and more. Notably, she represented Raffles L’Ermitage Beverly Hills, BeautifulPlaces, Le Meridien Beverly Hills (now SLS hotel), RanchWeb, Paradisio de la Bonita, Ceiba del Mar, Pacifica Holistic Resort and Spa (Mexico), Wyndam Bel Age (now The London West Hollywood), Madison and Mulholland (luxury events and celebrity gifting), Lake Arrowhead Resort + Spa, Johnnie Walker, and Westlake Village Inn.
Ever since 2012, I’ve been proudly serving as a senior writer at L.A. Arts Online, where I’ve had the pleasure of covering and critiquing over 50 events and shows. In my spare time, I lend a helping hand at Project Angel Food. Born and raised in Great Neck, N.Y., I’m thrilled to be part of this vibrant arts scene here in Los Angeles.
