As a seasoned gamer with an unquenchable thirst for all things cinema and fashion, I can’t help but feel a sense of awe and admiration when it comes to the enchanting world of Giorgio Armani. This man has not only mastered the art of haute couture but has also managed to seamlessly blend it with the silver screen.

For the seventh consecutive year, Armani serves as the official beauty partner for the Venice International Film Festival, preparing stars like Cate Blanchett and Sydney Sweeney for their red carpet appearances. The festival commenced on August 28 and will run until September 7, with celebrities such as Blanchett, Clara Galle, Kaya Scodelario, Ncuti Gatwa, along with some guests, being styled using Armani’s Luminous Silk line.

At the Excelsior Hotel on Lido Island, Armani is elevated in its opulent beauty studio. This year, their beauty offerings showcased include the Luminous Silk foundation and the upcoming Luminous Silk Acqua highlighter (still not officially launched but exclusively available for the festival). These products work harmoniously to enhance skin radiance while the Prisma Glass lip gloss, featuring oil-in-glass technology, adds depth and luminosity to the face.

On Saturday evening, Armani Beauty held an illustrious gathering, their Passione Party, at the Arsenale di Venezia. The invitees were a glamorous array of celebrities such as Sweeney, Richard Gere, Zac Efron, Eva Green, Sadie Sink, Chase Stokes, and Swizz Beatz. Throughout the night, guests grooved to the tunes of The Blaze and Victoria De Angelis. The event encouraged attendees to explore the question “what ignites your passion,” embodying the evening’s theme. Moreover, the event showcased Giorgio Armani’s affection for Venice and cinema in a beautiful fusion.

Mr. Armani is no stranger to film. He has been able to weave his love of fashion design into the cinema world where he has acted as costume designer for Gere’s wardrobe in American Gigolo, as well as for The Untouchables, Shaft, The Dark Knight Rises, The Social Network, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Julia Roberts and George Clooney’s 2022 rom-com Ticket to Paradise.

This year, one of the brand’s duties at the festival involves handing out the Armani Beauty Innovation Award – Horizon Extra. The Horizon is a competitive segment of the event dedicated to showcasing fresh developments in international cinematography, with a strong emphasis on innovation and originality.
