As a seasoned concert-goer and dedicated Apple Music user, I must say this new tool has made my life infinitely easier and more exciting! It’s like having a virtual time machine that transports me back to each show I’ve attended or prepares me for upcoming ones. The ability to access setlists as playlists is an ingenious idea, allowing me to relive the energy of past concerts or get pumped up for future gigs.
Apple Music now offers an innovative tool for artists, enabling them to transform their concert setlists into personalized playlists. This functionality extracts data from Shazam and Bandsintown, a service that features a schedule of live music performances along with the corresponding setlists.
Artists can utilize this tool to plan their future performance lineups, be it a single concert, an entire tour, or a residency. They are able to specify the nature of the event, the date and venue – if this information isn’t available on Bandsintown, they can input the details directly; otherwise, they can just choose from the listed shows.
Following the performance, the musician has the option to incorporate tracks from their performance’s setlist into a playlist, plus songs by other artists if there were any collaborations or cover versions during the show. After the concert ends, they can choose to eliminate this playlist or keep it for fans to re-experience the event.
The function serves the purpose of assisting artists in advertising their live performances, offering fans an innovative means to build excitement before upcoming concerts.
