Ash & Snow is a new match-three from the makers of Isekai Dispatcher, coming soon

  • Ash & Snow is a new match-three release from the makers of Isekai Dispatcher
  • Take on charming match-three puzzles with the help of two kittens
  • Clear blocks, use boosters and all that good match-three stuff

Back in April of last year, you might recall us mentioning an amusing strategy RPG titled Isekai Dispatcher. The developers who brought that unique, vintage twist to the ‘stuck-in-another-world’ genre are now venturing into something more peaceful and adorable with Ash & Snow, a match-three game featuring kittens. This charming mobile game is set to launch on May 15th.

In terms of typical match-three games, this one follows the standard formula. You align colored blocks to remove as many as you can, thereby increasing your score. Sometimes, you’ll also receive special abilities to speed up the process or earn extra points.

The title characters, Ash and Snow, are what the game primarily emphasizes. These charming cats will be a constant presence throughout your puzzle-solving adventures, whether they’re visible on the main screen or peeking at you from the top left corner while you work (or play, as it were).

Ashy with a chance of snow

I’m confident that the upcoming release will be well-crafted, given its origin from an experienced developer. However, considering our familiarity with match-three puzzlers featuring unique and captivating elements in a familiar genre, the inclusion of two kittens feels somewhat old-fashioned. Yet, let’s admit it, cats (and more recently capybaras) as characters have proven to boost game sales, particularly for mobile platforms.

As Ash & Snow is set to debut in just a month, we’re eagerly waiting for any additional details to surface before its launch. We’ll stay vigilant and informed!
