To maintain an exciting and innovative feel for Assassin’s Creed, we propose that Bayek could take center stage in a more compact game in the future, reminiscent of Mirage. Despite his role in establishing the open-world RPG format of the franchise, consider this alternative perspective.
Players adored Assassin’s Creed Origins due to its innovative take on an otherwise familiar series. By blending role-playing and stealth gameplay elements, it introduced fresh dynamics to the franchise. Crucially, Bayek’s narrative was compelling and well-received by players, though some felt the ending resolved too swiftly.
As a gamer, I found Bayek to be remarkably relatable – driven by love for his family, among other things. Yet, he wasn’t without flaws; later events turned him into a vengeful figure, leading to moments of impulsive actions. This blend of everyday motivations and justified anger made him a beloved character in the series, which was why it was disheartening to see Ubisoft shift focus to new protagonists.
After the conclusion of Assassin’s Creed Origins, Bayek established the Assassin’s Brotherhood, setting the stage for a subsequent narrative. As the head of this organization, Bayek must now embody the principles he stands for, and engaging in numerous stealth missions seems to be an intriguing development for his character.
In a simplified manner, Ubisoft might retain certain open-world features from “Origins”, such as side missions and sea battles, and possibly reuse the same world for Bayek’s exploration, but perhaps confine it to a specific area for a more structured mission flow. While another large RPG for Bayek could be exciting, it’s important to consider that too many releases in a row might cause oversaturation for this series, which some may argue is still quite popular.
Fans of Assassin’s Creed Origins were sad that Ubisoft didn’t continue Bayek’s story, as they felt there was more to discover about him and his family. The sudden shift to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey left many feeling let down. A trilogy akin to Ezio’s could have provided depth to the character, showing his battles with the Brotherhood leading up to his eventual demise. There is significant potential in this idea.

Many supporters believe that characters such as Connor from Assassin’s Creed III and Arno from Unity warrant another game. Nevertheless, it can be reasonably concluded that Bayek has outshone them in terms of both popularity and the depth of his storyline.
