Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ Restores Horse Auto-Follow and Additional Improvements in Latest Patch

Today, Ubisoft has released Update 1.0.2 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, resolving several significant problems concerning game performance and user experience. One of the most appreciated modifications includes reintroducing a popular feature: horses will once more automatically stick to roads. Additionally, this update introduces the sought-after functionality to sell multiple items at once.

Ever since its release, players have been requesting an automatic horse following road option, a common feature in recent Assassin’s Creed games starting from Origins. With Pathfinder activated, some players felt inconvenienced by having to manually navigate rather than letting the game lead them. The auto-follow function served as a minor yet significant improvement to gameplay, enabling AI to direct you towards your destination while you enjoyed the journey without distraction.

Today’s update from Ubisoft brings back a previously absent feature, significantly enhancing the experience of traversing Feudal Japan as characters Naoe and Yasuke, making it even more pleasurable to play.

Additionally, this update isn’t just about what you see. It also significantly enhances how players manage their items. Now, instead of handling each item separately, multiple ones can be tagged for selling or breaking down. This modification streamlines the tedious process of inventory management and boosts overall gameplay smoothness.

Taking care of your pets in the hideout feels much more fluid now, since the frame rate limit has been removed. Previously, you might have noticed a cap at 30 frames per second, but that’s no longer the case!

A significant enhancement is the option to independently reset Mastery Nodes, empowering players to finely adjust their stealth and battle strategies without needing a complete restart. This minor alteration not only saves valuable time but also fosters creativity by encouraging players to explore different play styles.

This passage highlights some key aspects of Update 1.0.2 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Other significant enhancements include a quick way to reach the Investigation Board directly—simply hold the Options button for a few seconds to skip through the slow menu navigation.

This update incorporates numerous bug corrections, including instances where quest markers don’t show up, unresponsive bosses, and issues with enemy AI behavior. Additionally, both stealth and combat mechanics have been adjusted for better gameplay. Naoe’s moves, particularly her double assassinations, now feel more fluid, while Yasuke retains his original power level.
