Aston Martin Joins Forces with 'James Bond' for Limited-Edition DB12 Goldfinger

As a long-time admirer of both Aston Martin and James Bond, I must say that this DB12 “Goldfinger Edition” is nothing short of breathtaking! The fact that it’s limited to just 60 units makes me feel like I need to move fast if I want one – otherwise, I might as well be watching a re-run of Goldfinger on TV.

Aston Martin has unveiled the “Goldfinger Edition” of their DB12 model, celebrating 60 years of collaboration with the James Bond series. This special edition car takes its cue from the brand’s first appearance in the iconic 1964 film Goldfinger. In keeping with its cinematic roots, only 60 units of the DB12 Goldfinger Edition will be produced.

The car, known as the DB12 Goldfinger, which is designed by Aston Martin’s custom division named Q by Aston Martin, carries on Bond’s tradition with its luxurious design features. This particular model is painted Silver Birch, a classic color associated with the legendary DB5. It showcases 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, gold side strakes, and an exclusive “Q” badge in chrome. The interior sports Sports Plus leather seats adorned with a fluted pattern, reminiscent of Bond’s signature suit. Gold-plated accents on the gear selector and dials hint at the golden tracking device from the movie Goldfinger. Under its hood, the DB12 Goldfinger houses a powerful 4L V8 Twin-Turbo engine generating 670 hp. Lastly, a high-quality Bowers & Wilkins audio system enhances the overall sound experience.

Paying homage to Bond fans, the “eight of hearts” symbol – famously displayed in the Miami pool scene from the movie _Goldfinger_ – is subtly embedded on the sun visor of each vehicle. As a special touch, each car includes distinct gifts such as a segment of the Furka Pass film reel, a custom Silver Birch model, and a vintage 2007 Bollinger Champagne set, all housed in an attaché case reminiscent of the car’s design, echoing its style.

Marco Mattiacci, Aston Martin’s Global Chief Brand Officer, stated, “The connection between Aston Martin and the James Bond series is consistently valued,” further explaining, “This special edition pays homage to the remarkable heritage of our initial Bond vehicle through subtle yet powerful details.

As an eager admirer, I can share that the specifics concerning the cost and when to anticipate the arrival of the DB12 Goldfinger Edition can be found through Aston Martin’s authorized outlets. Deliveries are slated to commence towards the end of 2025.
