The renowned automaker Aston Martin has unveiled the freshly designed Vantage Open-Top, seamlessly merging classic luxury with contemporary technology to offer a revitalized version of the timeless model. After the technical overhaul of the Vantage Coupe in 2024, the Roadster amplifies its sibling’s performance and refinement by adding the exhilaration of open-air driving.
Beneath its sleek exterior, the Vantage Roadster houses a powerful 4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, capable of producing 655 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. This formidable power enables the convertible to accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in an astonishing 3.5 seconds, and reach a top speed of 202 mph, identical to that of the Coupe. An emphasis on lightweight construction adds merely 60 kilograms to the overall weight compared to the Coupe. Additionally, the state-of-the-art Z-fold roof can be opened or closed in an impressive 6.8 seconds, even at speeds of up to 31 mph, making it the fastest electronic convertible top on a contemporary sports car yet.
Aston Martin’s engineers developed the Roadster model simultaneously with the Coupe, focusing on preserving structural strength and agile performance. State-of-the-art Bilstein DTX adaptive shock absorbers and custom Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires provide superior handling, and race-inspired suspension and braking components boost speed confidence at all speeds.
The Vantage Roadster keeps the striking design of the Coupe, whether its top is open or closed. Fresh paint finishes, various roof color choices, and personalized livery designs enhance its unique charm. Inside, advanced infotainment integrates a sleek Pure Black touchscreen with user-friendly physical controls.
According to Aston Martin’s CEO, Adrian Hallmark, this is a convertible with no compromises made. The Vantage Roadster offers an exceptional, open-top driving experience that enhances the dynamic heritage associated with the Vantage brand.
Delivery of the brand-new Vantage roadster is slated for the second quarter of 2025. For a closer look at the new Vantage Roadster, check out the video by Aston Martin below.
