Atomfall story expansion DLC ‘Wicked Isle’ launches June 3

The story expansion for the survival action game “Atomfall,” titled “Wicked Isle,” is set to release on June 3 for $19.99. This new content, developed by Rebellion Developments, will introduce a fresh location, new characters, adversaries, and plot twists. Additionally, it offers new leads, weapons, abilities, and items. The expansion also includes multiple alternate endings for the main game.

Here is an overview of the expansion, via Rebellion Developments:

Inspired by the eerie folklore embedded within the game, the narrative extension unfolds on the enigmatic Midsummer Island. To reach this mysterious isle, players need to seek out the boat-keeper residing on the dock in Wyndham Village. He’ll share valuable insights about the island and bestow upon you your initial Lead.

In simpler terms, Ben Fisher from Rebellion Developments stated that Midsummer is situated near the Windscale Atom Plant, leading to increased contamination in both the populace and surroundings compared to the mainland. You’ll encounter new adversaries such as pirate outlaws and tainted druids. To assist you in staying alive, discoverable on the island are powerful weapons like a destructive Blunderbuss shotgun, a novel bow, cutlass, daggers, and the Beekeeper’s Staff. Additionally, you’ll be able to gain new abilities that will support your journey, as well as an upgraded metal detector for locating additional hidden treasure chests.

Discoveries made within “Wicked Isle” can lead to multiple narrative paths, several of which may offer fresh possibilities for the final outcome in the primary “Atomfall” game.

Starting June 3rd, I’ll be diving into the chilling world of “Wicked Isle,” included in the Deluxe Edition and Upgrade Pack, or purchasable separately for $19.99. Game Pass subscribers can enjoy a cool 10% discount off this spine-tingling adventure!

Right now, you can get your hands on “Atomfall” for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, as well as PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. Additionally, it’s accessible via Game Pass too.
