Avengers: Doomsday Adds Surprising Social Media Stars to Cast—Fans Are Losing It

In a recent social media post, director Joe Russo of “Avengers: Doomsday” unveiled two fresh actors who will make an appearance in the upcoming movie, marking the first cast announcement since filming began in late April. Eager fans were previously given a glimpse of the new Avengers lineup earlier this year, with Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, and Florence Pugh among those confirmed for the film through a memorable extended live broadcast. Since that day, updates on casting for the project have been rather scarce.

2 new actors have been added to the cast of “Avengers: Doomsday,” and their identities might come as a surprise to some. This announcement was made approximately 2 months after a significant portion of the “Avengers 5” team was unveiled online in early March, marking the first casting updates for the movie in quite a while.

As reported by a recent episode of the entertainment podcast “Just the Nobodys”, Ryan and Daniel Omoto are rumored to be part of the upcoming “Avengers” movie, though their specific roles have not been revealed yet.

In this video, we see the Omoto brothers conversing with one half of the Doomsday directors, Joe Russo. They inquire if they could possibly feature in the upcoming film that he’s been working on for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

A moment later, Russo responded, “‘Absolutely, you could star in the film,’ as he ‘found just the right roles for you:’

After a short pause, Russo answered, “‘Definitely, there’s a spot for you in this movie,’ because ‘I’ve found ideal roles for you:’

Hey Joe, you’re truly amazing, the best-of-the-best! We’re at Sands International Film Festival, and we have a special offer for you related to The Avengers. You were our very first interviewee, your movie ‘The Grey Man’ was our debut red carpet event, our first Q&A took place at AGBO. It’s all been quite a journey of firsts! So, considering that our first film appearance is on the horizon, we thought it would be fitting if you could join us in ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars’ provided you get an AGBO tattoo.

You don’t need to get the AGBO tattoo if you don’t want to. You can still be in the film without it, but if you have your heart set on it, that’s fine too. I’ve written two great roles for you, and I think you’ll love them…The boys are in the movie as well.

It’s unclear how deeply the characters will be immersed within the movie. After posting the video, the Russo Brothers left a message: “‘Looking forward to seeing you on set…’“.

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’m part of the team bringing “Avengers: Doomsday” to life in the heart of London, England. After a slight shift in plans, this epic film is now set to hit the big screen on December 18, 2026, moving from its initial May 2026 release date. I can’t wait for us all to witness the action!

In the upcoming MCU film, established Marvel Studios heroes such as Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Anthony Mackie’s Captain America will be compelled to join forces with characters from older Marvel cinematic series like Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and Ian McKellen’s Magneto. Together, they’ll confront the formidable Doctor Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr.

Who Will the Omoto Brothers Play in Avengers: Doomsday?

As a diehard Marvel Cinematic Universe enthusiast, it’s hard to contain my excitement when I say that the Omoto Brothers have hit the jackpot by being handpicked for an Avengers movie role. Can you imagine the thrill of seeing these social media sensations join the ranks of super-powered greatness in real life? Simply amazing!

Yet, it’s unclear which characters they will portray in the upcoming film. It’s unlikely that these podcast hosts will introduce fresh Marvel Comics heroes making their debut on the big screen, isn’t it?

It seems highly probable that they’ll take on a role akin to the one Joe Russo had in his brief appearance in Avengers: Endgame.

In the movie, the individual who shared the directing duties on Doomsday briefly appeared in a scene, portraying an attendee at a support group led by Captain America (played by Chris Evans). He delivered just one line, had another brief appearance, and then quickly exited the scene.

It seems that the involvement of the “Just the Nobodys” hosts in the upcoming movie might be limited to short appearances, such as portraying podcast hosts or social media personalities for a particular scene or segment, after which they will not reappear.

I’m optimistic that this casting announcement kicks off a series of thrilling updates about the movie and its personas that enthusiasts can look forward to in the coming months.

Fans can’t help but wonder if characters like Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) – who were not initially listed on the cast for Avengers 5 – will make an appearance in the upcoming movie.
