A major MCU character is rumored to be returning in Avengers: Doomsday.

At the moment, Marvel Studios’ movie titled “Avengers: Doomsday” is being made. This production is under the direction of the Russo Brothers, also recognized as Joe and Anthony Russo. The release date for this film is planned for December 2026. Subsequently, another film, “Avengers: Secret Wars,” will come out in 2027.

Who is rumored to be returning for Avengers: Doomsday?

As per reports from The Cosmic Circus’s source, Alex Perez, it appears that Samuel L. Jackson may reprise his role as Nick Fury in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film.

At present, there are only rumors circulating about Samuel L. Jackson potentially appearing in Avengers: Doomsday. It’s essential to note that these rumors haven’t been verified by Marvel yet. If he does indeed make an appearance, the extent of his role remains uncertain.

In a post-credits scene from the 2008 film Iron Man, Sam Jackson’s portrayal of Nick Fury made his official debut. Since then, he has continued to play this role across various movies and TV shows, such as the 2023 miniseries Secret Invasion where he served as the main character. Following his appearance in The Marvels (2023), Jackson lent his voice to animated versions of his MCU character in What If…? and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
