Badshah denies violating traffic rules in Gurugram amid reports of being fined Rs 15,500; says ‘Thar toh hai bhi nai…’

As a die-hard fan of Badshah, I must say this whole traffic incident saga has left me utterly bewildered and slightly amused. I’ve been following his career since the days of “Saturday Saturday,” and if there’s one thing I’ve learned about him, it’s that he’s always got a beat in his heart and a rhythm in his soul, but never a rule-breaking streak on the road!

Man, I can’t stop talking about it! Everyone’s been buzzing over Badshah lately because of those rumors that his car got fined for breaking traffic rules left and right. So here’s what went down: it was Sunday, December 15, and he was on his way to singer Karan Aujla’s concert in Gurugram – all while traveling with his convoy! Can you believe it? Even as a dedicated fan, I can’t help but feel a tad disappointed if these reports are true.

Initially, the Mahindra Thar car he was riding breached traffic regulations, leading to a penalty of Rs 15,500 for driving on the incorrect side of the road, playing excessively loud music, and reckless driving. However, on December 17, Badshah publicly refuted allegations of rule-breaking on his social media platforms, clarifying that he doesn’t actually own a Thar vehicle.

Take a look:

According to Virender Vij, Gurugram’s traffic deputy commissioner, a Thar vehicle was being driven by its owner, Dipender Hooda from Panipat. He was fined a total of 15,500 rupees online for violating three sections of the Motor Vehicle Act, specifically for driving dangerously and incorrectly.

The Public Relations Officer for Gurugram Police, Sandeep Kumar, additionally shared that three vehicles were spotted driving on the incorrect side of Sohna Road, according to information received by police. Upon investigation, it was found to be a convoy belonging to singer Badshah, excluding his personal vehicle. The other two vehicles in the convoy had temporary registration plates. At present, further investigations are ongoing.

After the news about the incident spread widely, Badshah’s team also came forward with a statement clarifying misleading reports and accusations about a traffic infraction involving Badshah after the Karan Aujla concert on December 15th, 2024, in the Delhi NCR area. The claims suggest that Badshah was driving on the wrong side of the road, which is untrue according to the team’s statement.

During the concert, Badshah rode in a white Toyota Vellfire (license plate HR 55 AU 3333), which was being driven by a licensed professional driver. The team had organized transportation for the entire event, including a Toyota Vellfire and three other Toyota Innova Crystas to guarantee safe and efficient transport for everyone involved. At no point during the incident in question was Badshah driving any of these vehicles.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m here to clarify some misconceptions. Contrary to certain reports, neither Badshah nor his crew was part of the traffic incident involving someone driving on the wrong side of the road. In fact, no fines were handed out to any vehicles linked to Badshah or his team that particular evening.

In conclusion, our team expressed faith in our transport service and their qualified drivers. We’re fully cooperating with investigations regarding this incident, supplying all requested documentation to prove Badshah’s whereabouts and travel plans that night. We kindly ask for responsible reporting using only confirmed details, confident that the facts will become clear. They also shared their efforts to reach out to the authorities, but received no response.
