As a seasoned gamer and longtime fan of DC Comics, I must confess that I was initially taken aback by the news of a Bane and Deathstroke movie collaboration. The two have shared pages in comic books, but their unique personas and distinctive storylines have always seemed to me like separate worlds.
Typically, the characters Bane and Deathstroke aren’t often associated in one’s mind. However, they’ve both faced off against Batman on multiple occasions within the DC Comics universe. It’s possible that they’ve intersected at some point in their stories. Now, there’s a rumor that these two characters will be joining forces for an upcoming DC film, which leaves me feeling puzzled yet curious about the details.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Studios are working on a film featuring Bane and Deathstroke as the main characters. Matthew Orton, who previously worked on “Captain America: Brave New World” and other projects like “Operation Finale,” “Devil’s Peak,” and “Moon Knight,” has been assigned to write the script for this upcoming movie. However, a director has not yet been selected for the project.
