BAPE Takes on the New adidas Dame 9

As a hardcore sneakerhead with over two decades of collecting under my belt, I can confidently say that the BAPE x adidas Dame 9 collaboration is a game-changer! The duo has consistently delivered exceptional collaborations, and this one takes it to another level.

Product: BAPE x adidas Dame 9

Through the years, BAPE and adidas have built a strong partnership, leading to an array of projects such as UltraBOOST shoes sporting camouflage designs, as well as collaborative efforts with NEIGHBORHOOD. Most recently, this alliance has led to the development of Damian Lillard’s upcoming signature shoe, the adidas Dame 9.

In 2018, BAPE combined three color schemes for the adidas Dame 4, showcasing iconic BAPE elements like sharks and camouflage. With the upcoming release of the Dame 9, BAPE has readied another three colorways of this design. As shown above, the “Olympic” version is rumored to be an exclusive for Friends and Family, while the “Red/Gold” and “Green/Gold” styles are anticipated to hit stores later this month. From what we can see so far, these new sneakers feature gold co-branding that incorporates the Ape Head on the lateral heel and “BAPE STA” on the heel. Additionally, camouflage patterns appear on the layered upper and on a pair of laces with unique aglet branding.

Currently, neither BAPE nor adidas have disclosed the specifics of their upcoming collaboration with Damian Lillard’s release date. However, TopMob JP has speculated that the collaboration will drop on August 31, with the “Red/Gold” and “Green/Gold” colorways available to the general public. The highly anticipated “Olympic” colorway is rumored to be an F&F exclusive item. Keep an eye out for further updates, including a sneak peek at the “Green/Gold” version, as we eagerly await more detailed information.
