As a long-time admirer of streetwear and outerwear, I can’t help but feel exhilarated by the latest collaboration between Baracuta and NEIGHBORHOOD! With my decades of experience in urban fashion, I’ve seen countless collaborations come and go, but this one truly stands out.
Based in London, the fashion label Baracuta is renowned for its collaborative approach. With nearly a century of expertise under its belt, Baracuta has broadened its reach by joining forces with Aries, Mastermind, Barbour, and most recently, NEIGHBORHOOD. Taking their strategy a step further, they have announced their latest joint venture.
The well-known Japanese brand incorporates its cultural symbols onto Baracuta’s cold-weather clothing, showcasing the campaign on the streets of East London. In Hoxton, legendary 90s British music innovator Goldie stars in the campaign, sporting quilted G9 Harrington and G4 jackets, collaborative sweaters, and hats from the lineup.
Baracuta’s iconic G9 Harrington jacket, known as its signature piece, has been revamped into an all-black design, adorned with embroidered branding at the back and devoid of the umbrella-inspired back yoke. However, it retains its full Fraser Tartan lining. The NEIGHBORHOOD x Baracuta G4 Jacket stands out with a green quilted exterior that boasts tiger patches and Japanese script, symbolizing NEIGHBORHOOD’s Asian roots. A six-panel cap and matching crewneck round off the collection, both sporting dual logos for a cohesive style statement.
Have a good peek at the partnership between Baracuta and NEIGHBORHOOD, showcased in the galleries above. This collaboration is set to be released by both brands and certain retailers starting from September 13.
