Nora Fatehi started her career in the movie world more than ten years back, initially as an actor but later gained fame for her energetic dance performances. Now, with her latest roles including the upcoming film “Be Happy,” viewers are witnessing a new facet of her acting talent. Lately, she disclosed surprising facts about producers pressuring her to release songs in order to secure future roles. She admitted, “I learned not to be so emotional. I stopped crying over things because I was always a crier.
During a conversation with BBC Asian Network, Nora Fatehi looked back on her path, revealing that she’s grown stronger and more resilient as time has passed. She confessed to feeling quite impacted by rejections, lost chances, and rumors, but ultimately understood that these obstacles didn’t carry much weight in the grand scheme of things.
As a self-reliant individual, I opted to generate my own chances rather than relying on others. I acknowledged my own skills in communication, self-promotion, and navigating the industry solo.
The actress from ABCD 2 went on to say that she chose to break free from agencies, producers, and directors who made false promises, like giving her roles in exchange for dance performances, but then failing to follow through. From these lessons, she now selects projects according to her own preferences, without demanding anything in return.
Nora expressed her personal views about how she’s frequently viewed within her profession, noting that some fellow actresses find her to be arrogant but she thinks of herself as just self-assured and genuine. Additionally, the actress from Magdaon Express highlighted the industry’s inconsistencies by mentioning that several established actresses manage to take on leading film roles alongside dance performances.
Discussing her professional engagements, the actress known as Crakk humorously confessed that her job often requires her to jet back and forth between Dubai and India. She candidly described a demanding routine with little downtime, scant rest, no room for leisure, and scarcely any time set aside for personal matters. Playfully emphasizing the scarcity of hours in her day, she quipped that she barely finds a moment to grab something to eat.
Nora made it clear that there’s no truth to rumors suggesting she might quit the industry. Instead, she plans to carry on with her work in Bollywood and simultaneously grow her international music career. Upcoming, you can catch her in the film “Be Happy,” where Abhishek Bachchan takes the lead role.
