The First Berserk Board Game Finally Has a New Campaign Update After 1 Year
Developed by Monolith Games, the much-anticipated board game titled “Berserk: The Board Game” has been quiet for some time, but recent updates have shed light on its upcoming release as a tabletop title. According to project updates, the “eclipse” phase kicks off in Q4 2025, which signifies when the crowdfunding campaign for this game will start. Fans will be able to support and fund the game during this timeframe, with the final price being unveiled at the onset of the campaign. It’s worth noting that the studio has yet to disclose the cost, but they have promised to share more details in the months leading up to the campaign launch. Unfortunately, it was also mentioned that a standee version of the game will not be available for purchase.
According to the Monolith website, this manga-inspired game lets fans reenact crucial scenes from the Berserk storyline, encountering numerous adversaries of the protagonist, Guts. Each character in the game is assigned a unique deck of cards for movement, attacks, and special abilities; however, employing these cards will also escalate their exhaustion.
Similar to the mature theme found in the original source material, the “Berserk: The Board Game” is designed for players aged 18 and above. A typical game lasts approximately 90 minutes and can accommodate one to five participants.
