As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours honing my skills in various action-packed games, I can confidently say that the spells in Black Myth: Wukong are nothing short of game-changers. After numerous battles and countless hours of experimentation, I’ve come to appreciate three spells above all others.
In the game Black Myth: Wukong, you’re given three Spell slots and one Transformation slot, but with around seven spells to select from during play, it might be beneficial to familiarize yourself with the top-tier spells to streamline your combat experience.
Best Spells
Immobilize
Among all spells, the initial and notably potent one is called “Immobilize.” This spell occupies the Mystic’s slot, and given its versatility and utility, you may find yourself unwilling to swap it out in various scenarios throughout the game.
As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of video games, I find the ability to freeze enemies in place a game-changer. It allows me to strategize and deal damage without fear of retaliation for a brief moment, giving me an edge in high-pressure situations. This feature has saved my character’s life more times than I can count, and it’s always thrilling to see the bonus rewards that come with breaking the freeze effect. It adds an extra layer of excitement and strategic depth to the gameplay experience.
You can use perks to increase the length of the effect and the damage you deal, and there’s even a Relic later in the game with the Spread the Word perk, allowing you to Immobilize multiple enemies at once.
For adversarial superiors, it offers an effective method to inflict massive burst damage in short periods, and synergizes exceptionally with A Pluck of Many when timed correctly.
Rock Solid
In my opinion, you should consider using “Rock Solid” – a charm from chapter two, instead of the initial spell you acquire for this position, which is “Cloud Step.” Although both spells have their unique advantages, “Rock Solid” offers additional versatility that makes it a more appealing choice.
While Rock Solid primarily functions to nullify damage from potent strikes, which is beneficial against bosses with prolonged attack sequences or powerful special moves, it also serves as a defensive maneuver similar to a parry, particularly when enhanced with extra abilities.
If you time your Rock Solid block correctly, you can deflect an attack, throw off your opponent, escape from the move, and then execute a potent combination by launching a subsequent attack.
A Pluck of Many
Summoning Multiple Wukongs temporarily during combat, these copies will assist you by attacking foes and creating diversions. They occupy the Strand slot.
The Charm is particularly advantageous when it comes to the extra bonuses offered in the talent branch. Not only does it allow for an extension of its duration in various methods, but also enhances the health and damage output of the replicas, and even bestows upon them the power to cast their own spells.
When you find yourself in a situation where there are more opponents than you (outnumbered), you have the ability to change the course of events (turn the tide). In challenging encounters, particularly boss battles, this provides you with the advantage to retreat and regain strength or push forward and inflict damage.
In the points made earlier, it’s clear that this move synergizes effectively with Immobilize, allowing you to first immobilize an opponent and then unleash a barrage of attacks from your monkey squad, inflicting significant damage. I’ve found myself making short work of certain bosses using this tactic.
