Beyoncé Reportedly Granted Kamala Harris Permission to Use ‘Lemonade’ Song in Campaign

As a devoted fan of Beyoncé, I am thrilled to see her connection with Vice President Kamala Harris. Her approval of using “Freedom” during Harris’ campaign is a powerful statement that resonates deeply with me, as a Black woman and a supporter of empowerment for all marginalized communities.

According to reports, Vice President Kamala Harris, a leading contender for the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nomination, has been given permission by Beyoncé to utilize the song “Freedom” from her album “Lemonade” in her campaign.

According to CNN’s latest update, I was thrilled when I learned that Beyoncé’s team granted permission for her hit song to be played during my recent visit to Joe Biden’s Delaware campaign headquarters. What an amazing surprise and a perfect fit for the energetic atmosphere!

“The track ‘Freedom,’ which includes Kendrick Lamar, is a song that advocates for the empowerment of Black women. In the chorus, Beyoncé sings, ‘Freedom! Freedom! Where are you? I yearn for freedom as well! I shatter my chains alone/I won’t let my hard-earned freedom decay in hell/Hey! I’ll keep pushing forward/Because a true champion never gives up on themselves.'”

In the music video for her song, Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar were joined by the mourning mothers of African American men who have been victims of police brutality, such as Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Eric Garner.

I’m absolutely thrilled that Vice President Harris and I share mutual admiration for each other. As a token of this appreciation, I had the pleasure of gifting her tickets to my Renaissance World Tour concert in Landover, Maryland. The Vice President and her husband, Doug Emhoff, attended the event and expressed their gratitude on social media, describing it as a “fun date night.” While I haven’t officially endorsed Vice President Harris yet, our connection through music continues to bring us closer together.

As a seasoned observer of political landscapes and a mother myself, I am truly inspired by Tina Knowles’ unwavering support for Vice President Kamala Harris. Her recent social media post, featuring a photo of her with Harris and an eloquent caption, is a testament to her belief in the potential of our current vice president as a future leader.

In 2020, Beyoncé expressed her backing for the Biden-Harris campaign through an Instagram post. Previously in 2016, she showed her support for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

The influential pair are not only pals with the Obamas but have also entertained at both of former President Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremonies, with Beyoncé being the performer on those occasions.
